The University of Bridgeport's Waterbury Campus, located at 84 Progress Lane, offers advanced degree programs for those in the field of Education and Teacher Certification.  Many students participate in the Education Internship program. Courses are offered during the day on Tuesdays, evenings and on Saturdays.

The Waterbury campus also offers the IDEAL undergraduate degree-completion program for working, adult students. IDEAL was the first accelerated program in Connecticut, beginning in 1988, and is the most accelerated program in the state, offering 5 week courses, 9 times per year. Courses are available weeknights, weekends, and online. Bachelor degrees include: Human Services, Business Administration, General Studies and Psychology. Certificates in Gerontology, Human Resource Management and Criminal Justice are also offered.
